DevOps PERFORMANCE ENGINEER

Detailed Description
• Analyse 3-tier and microservice architectures, identifying limitations and bottlenecks;
• Define methods to confirm performance constraints and propose optimisations;
• Evaluate the impact of microservice failures or overload scenarios;
• Utilise AWS expertise to enhance scalability and resilience;
• Apply strong Angular knowledge to develop and optimise front-end applications;
• Proficient in Performance Testing Tools such as JMeter;
• Test Automation Frameworks such as Cypress, Protractor (for UI and functional testing);
• Test Management Tools –XRAY (for test planning and execution);
• Documenting Technical Specifications: Define clear technical guidelines and standards to improve efficiency and security;
• Deploy updates and fixes to maintain system functionality;
• Design, develop, and test new features;
• Analyse root causes of production errors and resolve them;
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools;
• Automate development and release processes;
• Collaborate with teams to improve processes and outcomes;
• Mentor colleagues and promote skill development.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any related field;
• At least 2 years’ work experience in DevOps;
• Development knowledge of Back-End & Front-End
a. Angular (for UI development);
b. Java/J2EE (basic understanding for backend interactions);
c. Shell scripting (for automation and system tasks).
• Testing & Performance Optimisation
a. JMeter and Cypress
• Infrastructure & CI/CD
a. Version Control: Git, Bitbucket;
b.Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes;
c. Unix Environments: Command-line operations and scripting.
• Database & Security
a. Databases: Oracle (basic understanding);
b.Security Tools & Practices: OWASP principles.
• Cloud & Microservices
a. AWS (strong expertise required);
b.Microservices Monitoring & Analysis (understanding of how services interact and impact performance).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with a wide range of people and concerned stakeholders.
