DATABASE TEAM LEAD

International Card Processing Services Ltd (ICPS) is a subsidiary of HPS Group, a leading electronic payment solution for financial institutions, processors, and national switches all around the world, and provides state of art technology in Switching and Card Management Systems.

We are looking for a DBA professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to ensure the stability, performance, and evolution of our database environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage, monitor, and optimize database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Provision, maintain, and support PRE-PROD, UAT, and PROD environments.
• Lead and mentor a pool of Level I and II DBAs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and team performance.
• Apply a maker-checker approach, validating all changes in terms of impact, risk, and compliance.
• Oversee database-related projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and optimization initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and reporting requirements.
• Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and provide timely resolution, including after-hours support when required.

Requirements:
• 7–10 years of solid experience in Database Administration.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle, GoldenGate, JBoss, Unix, and Red Hat environments.
• Proven ability to take ownership, demonstrate reliability, and ensure accountability in all deliverables.
• Availability to work on an on-call basis and respond effectively to critical incidents.
• Ability to clearly communicate commitments and consistently deliver on them.
• Strong documentation practices and ability to implement automation where possible.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt to new technologies.
• Commitment to knowledge sharing and developing team capabilities.
• Certifications in Oracle, GoldenGate, and related technologies are required.
• Systems engineering certifications would be an advantage.
