PROJECT DIRECTOR
Job Description:
As ‘Project Director’, you will be working in a constantly evolving environment to ensure projects and
solutions relating to the Payment Services activities are implemented in line with ICPS strategy.
You will drive and manage a pool of project resources and the customer relationship with all concerned
stakeholders with a view to delivering high quality projects to ICPS's clients whilst ensuring consistently
high service performance as per set objectives.
Detailed Description:
Guarantee the organization of the project:
• Frame projects from a technical, business, and financial perspective with the customer for clear
requirements and key milestones;
• Macro plan projects and perform proper project methodology and risk assessment to ascertain
the seamless development and delivery of projects within agreed timelines;
• Develop customer centricity culture within the project teams enabling them to have the needs of
the clients as their main and sustained focus.
• Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality of deliverables;
• Provide the necessary resources (human capital, financial and ICPS tools) and ensure the
adequacy between resources and needs (financial, technical, human capital);
• Guarantee the conduct and the outcome of the project.
Guarantee the conduct and completion of the project:
• Develop the project plan and lead the project in compliance with the standards in force in the
company;
• Ensure that the quality commitment is respected throughout the project;
• Check the consistency of the project;
• Ensure compliance with commitments in terms of costs, objectives, and deadlines;
• Contribute to the improvement of indicators and tools for measuring the quality of the project;
• Guarantee the transfer of the project to the support team to guarantee optimal customer
follow-up.
Manage communication and Reporting:
• Create and animate information or creativity meetings to regularly inform all the stakeholders;
• Ensure a good level of understanding of the environment and relay any information that could
affect the organisation or the activity;
• Cause information feedback and guarantee its translation into an improvement plan;
• Ensure the feedback of information to the project managers and teams;
• Monitor project profitability of the unit with regular updates with finance with respect to the
forecast budget and take appropriate actions if required;
• Analyze and monitor the performance of its entity, consolidate reports, analyze indicators, and
make the necessary improvements to processes to guarantee compliance with SLAs.
Team Management:
• Participate in recruitment, proposes areas of development for the project teams, conduct
assessment interviews and ensure the good level of training for respective team;
• Develop a quality and a motivating culture by empowering and managing performance ensuring
that set objectives and KPI's are achieved;
• Provide ongoing mentoring /coaching to project teams as and when required, and continually
encouraging knowledge sharing and expertise.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field;
• A Certification in Project Management, by preference PMP or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner;
• At least 12 years’ work experience in Project Management;
• Prior exposure on a Card Management System (preferably PowerCARD), Payment Scheme or Business
acumen will be an advantage;
• Mastery of the environment and regulatory actors of payment (international network, Visa
Mastercard, ...)
• Knowledge of Project Management techniques, methods and process development and continuous
improvement;
• Excellent Knowledge of PL SQL, UNIX, C, C++, Java HTML, Jasper, Shell Unix & flex;
• Strong Leadership and business management skills;
• At least 12 years’ work experience in Project Management;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, conceptual and implementation experience;
• Ability to act as change agents and instill confidence to embrace change as well;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate with a wide range of people and support
relationships between other departments, and the customers;
• Results- driven and customer focused, striving for high customer satisfaction, experience of delivering
projects to external customers.;
